Hello, and Welcome!

Whitaker’s Market is a family owned and operated business. We are a little hard to classify, but if you could picture combining a bulk food store with a discount store, add elements of a local food co-op, and give it the personality of an old-fashioned general store…you get the idea.

Local Food Co-op

As the food chain has become increasingly industrialized, there has been an increasing demand for minimally processed, clean food, and the local food co-op has become a popular solution. It is a place to connect the farmer to the consumer, and to provide organic and chemical free food. Whitaker’s Market is a family owned and operated business that has many of the same products and opportunities as a local food co-op.

Discount Grocery Store

Often found in Amish and Mennonite communities, sometimes called a bent-and-dent store, these stores offer surplus food at a reduced price. Whitaker’s Market strives to maintain a clean, attractive, organized variety of discount foods, and we have a huge variety to choose from. It is a must-see for the penny pincher and bargain hound.

Bulk Food Store

Also an Amish and Mennonite business model, a bulk food store purchases food in bulk quantities and re-packages in retail sizes for a savings. For those who enjoy time spent in the kitchen creating culinary delights for family and guests, come to Whitaker’s Market for reasonably priced, fresh ingredients to work with. We have a large selection of baking ingredients, grains, nuts, dried fruit, spices, pasta, dried beans, and more; many of them with both organic and conventional options.

We are Open:

Monday through Friday:   9:00 to 5:00

Saturdays:

9:00 to 2:00
